We collect only the information needed to have a meaningful conversation with you about a potential acquisition. This typically includes:

• Business information you choose to share — details about your firm such as approximate revenue, client count, services offered, location, and timeline considerations.
• Communication content — the messages, calls, emails, and meeting notes exchanged between us.
• Publicly available business information — listings, websites, and directory information we may reference when reaching out.

We do not collect financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal identifiers through our text messaging program.

3.How you opted in to receive texts

We send text messages only to individuals who have expressly opted in through the contact form on the BaseLedger website at baseledger-info.com/contact.html. On that form, you provided your phone number and affirmatively checked a box agreeing to receive recurring automated text messages from BaseLedger LLC. We do not text any phone number that has not completed this opt-in.

4.How we use your information

We use the information you share with us to:

• Schedule and conduct introductory calls and meetings.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.

Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services and your communications with us is permitted as follows:

• Service providers we use to operate our business — such as our SMS messaging provider, email provider, scheduling software, and customer-relationship tools — which only process your information on our behalf and under written agreements.
• Professional advisors such as our attorney, accountant, or M&A advisor, when relevant to evaluating a specific acquisition opportunity and only with appropriate confidentiality protections.
• Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights or safety.

If our business is ever sold, merged, or otherwise transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections of this policy.

6.Text messaging specifics

Our SMS program is used solely for one-to-one communication about a potential acquisition of your firm. Message frequency varies depending on our conversation. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Reply HELP for assistance or STOP at any time to opt out. Once you reply STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and no further texts from BaseLedger unless you re-opt in. See our Terms & Conditions for additional details about our text messaging program.

7.How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information you share with us — including access controls, encrypted transmission where supported by our service providers, and limited internal access on a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information transmitted over the internet or mobile networks.

8.How long we keep your information

We retain your information for as long as needed to pursue or follow up on a potential acquisition, and afterward only as required by applicable laws, tax rules, or our legitimate business records. If you opt out of text messages, we will keep a record of your opt-out request so we honor your preference going forward. You can request deletion of your information at any time by emailing us at the address below; we will comply unless we are legally required to retain it.
